Launching meeting of the GDR 3E "Epigenetics in Ecology and Evolution" 

April 2-3, 2020

CNRS, Montpellier

The aim of the meeting is to promote scientific interactions between senior researchers, PhD students and Postdocs, to build collaborative networks, to identify scientific and societal challenges in the 3E context, and to define the priorities for future actions by the GDR-3E in the following four years.

The meeting will be devoted to the presentation of the GDR and of its 7 research axes.

GDR-3E AXES :

1) Concepts, epistemological and historical bases of epigenetics coordinated by Francesca Merlin & Arnaud Pocheville

2) Molecular mechanisms of epigenetics coordinated by Séverine Chambeyron & Giacomo Cavalli

3) Quantitative population genetics coordinated by Stéphane Maury & Nicolas Bouché

4) Transgenerational effects coordinated by Etienne Danchin & Benoit Pujol

5) Non-model species coordinated by Christoph Grunau & Nicolas Nègre

6) Repeated sequences and transposable elements coordinated by Cristina Vieira & Clémentine Vitte

7) Epigenetics and society coordinated by Emmanuelle Rial-Sebbag & Séverine Louvel

Each session will be structured as follows:

-A 5-minute presentation by the coordinator(s) of the axe

-Four 15-minute talks by participants in the meeting

-10-minute general discussion

A "light talks" session (2-minute presentations of a poster) and poster session will be scheduled too.
